The Bellevue Pinafore is the kind of piece you frame in a memory box long after it's been outgrown. Hand-cut and sewn in our Liverpool studio, this handmade girls' pinafore dress combines two of our most magical fabrics: a butterfly-scattered woven cotton for the square chest panel, and a vibrant large-scale floral and butterfly print for the full circle skirt that billows and swings with every step. Double-layer flutter ruffle sleeves in coordinating lavender and pink linen fan out on both sides like butterfly wings themselves. The cross-back design creates a beautiful open back with a long white sash that ties into a generous, swooping bow — a detail that stops people in their tracks in person. Two tiers of alternating lavender and pink linen ruffle trim the hem, giving this dress a movement and volume that photographs like a dream in natural light.

This is the statement piece of the Summer Butterflies collection. There are very few of them and they will not be remade.

✦ Dispatch Each pinafore is cut and sewn to order — please allow up to 15 working days from your order date. If you need this for a special occasion, please message us first and we'll do everything we can.

✦ Care Instructions Machine wash at 30°C, gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry — hang or lay flat to protect the ruffles and print. Cool iron on the reverse. Wash with similar colours.

Both fabrics used in The Bellevue Pinafore are exclusive limited runs. We have only a small amount of each remaining. This dress will not be restocked or remade — when it's gone, it's gone for good.
